File Server

We are pleased to supply software updates und documentation as well as helpful information and solutions on our file server.
Because of the continually increasing amount of data as well as software updates and other necessary information, direct data exchange via email is not feasible. What is more only a small number of organizations allow data exchange via email due to security considerations.

As a consequence Rasterpunkt provides a dedicated, high capacity server on the Internet in which we have implemented a very high level of security, something which nowadays is simply indispensible, based on standard SSL and protected with current firewall technology.

The server is maintained by our colleagues in the ISP department and located in our Stuttgart computer center. Details on the computer center with its highest levels of both security and availability can be see at the ISP pages.

Next to the well known and established (but unsecure) FTP protocol we also provide access via s/FTP (FTP-over-SSH) or data access with a new web interface using HTTPS (SSL 128bit encryption).* We keep you informed about software updates and new releases by email and make a download link HTTP available – simple and fast and accessible from practically any company network!


If you want to send production data or other helpful information to us, you will be given your own completely separate area on the server which only you and Rasterpunkt employees have access to. Further information regarding data protection you will find here.

* Requirements for access is a current Internet browser (InternetExplorer from Version 6, Mozilla/Firefox) as well as a working, current version of  JAVA (Sun-JRE from 1.4) installed on the client computer.
